Welcome to Steve's Farmall "A" web page. This is where I will share the progress of restoring my tractor back to its original condition.

This "A" was built in 1947, the same year that my grandpa bought the tractor. This tractor is special to me because it reminds me of my grandpa. He loved this tractor more than anything. My grandpa taught me how to work on all sorts of things including the tractor. I even learned how to drive on this tractor.

Several years ago, my grandpa passed away. The tractor has been sitting in the "tractor shed" ever since. It was in great condition when it was parked. Unfortunately, the tractor has been neglected for several years.

My family is trying to sell the land where the tractor is sitting. I was thinking about selling the tractor since I don't really have a place to keep it. I even posted an ad on "Yesterday Tractor". I got a response from a guy that had been looking for a tractor just like the one I was planning on selling. His grandpa had a tractor just like mine and has been regretting selling his tractor ever since. I didn't want to end up regretting selling my grandpa's pride and joy, so I'm now moving the tractor to the suburbs.

Right now the tractor is in pretty rough shape. The engine is "stuck", and there is a lot of rust, but the original tires are still holding air.
